Anyway, I have been busy at work with lots of special orders. I am posting a few pictures of some of those and ya'll are some creative people. I love to try new patterns and ideas. Sometimes it may take awhile to "nail" them. (because I am a perfectionist when it comes to sewing) The superhero capes seem to be Numero Uno on the list of orders.
Then I got a special request from a friend (who is an art teacher and very good at it) for an art apron or smock for her children. To be honest, sometimes I have no confidence in my sewing skills because I am self-taught. I was NERVOUS about this one. I got a pattern from here
and went to work. After I was half way through...I WAS IN LOVE! I love, love, love this idea. Thank you Kirsten for your suggestion and I hope you love them as much as I do!
Annnnndddd...As you know (if you live in the South ) it is peach season. I love fresh peaches so I made this beautiful peach delight this past Sunday. Is was delicious and easy to make.
Peach Delight

1 cup powered sugar ( I used about 2)
1 8oz cool whip
Mix and spread over cooled crust
Topping
2 cups of water or juice from drained peaches + water to equal 2 cups
1/2 cup of sugar
1 Tbs. corn starch
1 small package of peach jello
1 lrg. can sliced peaches (fresh or frozen ) thawed
Drain peaches (SAVE JUICE)
Bring water (or juice and water), sugar and cornstarch to boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Add jello. Cool until mixture begins to thicken. Spread into pan. Top with peaches. Refrigerate and serve when set.
